Ingredients
- 3 cups sugar
- 4 Tbs cocoa
- 1/4 cup white syrup
- 1 cup milk (condensed best) evaporated
- 3 Tbs butter
- vanilla
Directions
- Mix sugar, cocoa, syrup, milk
- Cook slow; do not stir; until 234 F
- Add butter and vanilla; do not stir
- Cool to 110 F
- Beat until get dull streaks
- Add nuts (if desired)
- Heat until dull
- Pour in buttered pan and cool
- Cut in squares
Notes
Dash of cream of tartar prevents it from getting sugary
