Ingredients
- 2# Ground Beef & pork
- 1 1/2 cups raw rice (2/3 cup / lb meat)
- 1 small chopped onion
- Garlic or garlic powder
- Salt and pepper
- Sauer Kraut
Directions
- Mix all ingredients with hands
- Core head of cabbage and put in hot water to steam and soften leaves
- Separate leaves, cut back core off so it will be easy to roll
- Take amount of meat mixture to fit in leaf and roll (tuck in ends)
- Layer one layer sauer kraut on bottom of kettle
- Layer of cabbage rolls until finished
- Cover with water and boil - slowly (keeping covered with water) at least 4 hours
