Ingredients
7 " buttered pan
2 cup sugar
1 cup syrup (white)
1/2 cup water
1 tsp anise oil (or wintergreen oil)
1 tsp red color (or green if using wintergreen)
Directions
- Boil until cracks in cold water (275 F) (about 25 min)
- Take off burner
- Add anise/wintergreen oil and red/green color
- Pour in buttered pan
- Mark in square from edge as it hardens
- Keep marking so it can be broken ins squares
